Donna in movimento

Iron, forged and welded · 1962

After completing his training, Metzler wanted to master metals as well. He enrolled in a welding and forging course at an auto-mechanic's workshop in Zurich. The result is a first approach to abstract sculpture, an anthropomorphic figure that still carries recognisable elements of the body but is caught in the moment of movement.
