Donna Aria Litigiosa

This sculpture belongs to the Uomini Aria series, but in a feminine and deeply different declension. Donna Aria Litigiosa stands out for a more abstract and simplified form, yet no less expressive for that. Carved in precious white Carrara marble, this figure is characterised by a pyramidal head, a recurring detail in the artist's work, often associated with tension, contrast, even aggression. Not by chance is this figure described as quarrelsome: the pointed form of the head seems to want to pierce the space around it, in a continuous push outward. The body, while remaining symbolic and stylised, maintains an elegant, almost ethereal verticality. There is no narration, no movement, but a clear inner energy: an emotional tension running through the stone.
